Biography:
Dottie Moore is a quilt artist from Rock Hill South Carolina. She started a project
called "Piecing a Quilt of Life," the goal of which was to document the lives of the
women she interviewed. Moore also wrote a book based on those interviews titled
"Lives in Process: Creativity in the Second 50 Years." For additional biographical

Scope and Content:
The collection contains subject files on individual quilters as well as 136 cassette
tapes of interviews and speeches given at various quilting events. The subject files
include biographical information on the person, photos and slides of them and quilts
they have created or own, and correspondence with Dottie Moore.
