Biography:
Elisha Benjamin Andrews held the position of chancellor of the University of Nebraska from
1900 until 1908. He is credited with development of early athletic teams at the university,
along with its development.

Scope and Content:
The records include a commonplace book or scrapbook of newspaper clippings of quotations and
poetry and a copy of James E. Hansen's biography of E. Benjamin Andrews titled "Gallant,
Stalwart Bennie: Elisha Benjamin Andrews (1844-1917): An Educator's Odyssey."
