History:
The Nitrogen Chapter is the University of Nebraska chapter of the National Chemical
Honor Society for Women, which began at the University of California, Berkeley and
the University of Washington, Seattle. The local chapter, Nitrogen, developed in
1915.
Scope and Content:
The records include selected minutes, membership information, photographs, and
memorabilia on the Nitrogen chapter of the honor society. The other records are
associated with the national organization. The majority of the correspondence
relates to membership and financial records. One newsletter from the local chapter
of the chemical honor society of men, Alpha Chi Epsilon, Theta Chapter, is
included.
