History:
The Sheldon Art Association began operating under its new name in March 2008. The
association supports the mission and activities of the Sheldon Museum of Art and provides
educational programming and opportunities. The Haydon Art Club initiated the development of
the art collections housed in the Sheldon Museum of Art in 1888. The Art Club changed its
title to the Nebraska Art Association in 1902. Both the Haydon Art Club and Nebraska Art
Association names were precursors to the Sheldon Art Association.
Scope and Content:
The records include minutes, postcards, and mailings created by the Sheldon Art
Association.
